Rueter Scargall Bennett LLP has acted as both plaintiff and defence counsel in class action litigation.  Our lawyers have acted for defendants in notable class actions, including YBM Magnex and cases involving alleged price fixing and landowner claims against pipeline companies.  We have acted for plaintiffs in litigation involving alleged misrepresentations in condominium sales and claims to a pension surplus.  In addition, we have been appointed by the courts as the monitor of the settlement implementation in a number of class actions, including those involving Hepatitis C tainted blood, the Walkerton water contamination and a product liability case involving heating materials.
